Kangana Ranaut (born March 20, 1987 in Bhambla, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India) is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi movies.
Kangana Ranaut is from a village called Bhambla in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. She completed most of her schooling in Shimla. She studied science and wanted to be a star all time. Kangana Ranaut's mother Asha Ranaut is a school teacher and her father Amardeep Ranaut is a businessman. She has one elder sister, Rangoli and a younger brother.
She Started her career as theatre actor in Delhi with the Asmita theatre group. She trained under eminent theatre director Arvind Gaur. She participated in his theatre workshop at India Habitat Centre and acted in many plays. Her first play with Arvind Gaur was Girish Karnad's Tale-Danda ( Rakt-Kalyan).In this classic play she was playing Lalitamba's character. On the show day one male actor fell ill. It was a crucial time for Arvind's team but Kangana came out and prepared Damodar Bhatt's role within one hour.Damodar Bhatt 's role is very challenging but that day Kangana 's performance in both Male & female characters was outstanding.
